
Fawn Penn (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist currently living and working in Chicago and co-founder of The Digs Chicago. At the Digs, Fawn serves as ceramic studio manager, marketing and social media manager, and occasionally ceramics instructor.
Fawn works primarily in ceramic, uniting clay with a wide variety of media such as fiber, medical objects, and performative action. Fawn’s work converses with the themes of seeking wellness and living with chronic illness. They also create a variety of functional ceramic work, focusing on design and utility. Fawn graduated with a BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Spring 2020, and is the 2020 recipient of the Center for Craft Windgate-Lamar Fellowship.
